They put the wolf


For non-greek speakers:
There's some saying in Greece that goes like "they put the wolf to guard the sheep" meaning that somebody dangerous has been put in charge of something important that needs to be safe. The exact same thing as voting for your government, we can say. Or, trusting the leaders of any religion. I think that you got the point already. And the words "guard" (fylaei) and "kiss" (filaei), sound exactly the same in the greek language. So, ha ha ha.
